a Yaka cyborg, he found work as a programmer on his homeworld. When he took his family on a planetary tour, they were attacked by pirates. They pirates stole his children, and Luwingo tried to track them down. However, travel throughout the galaxy often requires the use of a starship. When he first met Lo Khan, he tried to save Lo Khan's life by eliminating the goons tracking him. In return, Luwingo felt that Lo Khan would owe him passage on his starship. Though Luwingo eliminated one set of goons before they got to Lo Khan, Spadda had sent another group. Luwingo again saved Lo Khan, and the two have been partners ever since. In between infrequent smuggling runs, Luwingo has continued to search for his family, using his cyborg brain to selectively recall memories of the abduction.
