Jumper
this Zelosian parasite is noctural, and feeds on dead bodies. The feeding frenzy of a swarm of jumpers has a unique effect on newly-dead bodies. They jumpers release certain enzymes and electrical discharges while feeding. This combination of events causes the dead body to jerk and flinch, and eventually kick-starts the brain. The dead body then seems to come back to life and walk, although the effect only lasts until the jumpers have consumed the body. This usually lasts a few hours. This "walking dead" effect is deathly frightening to the native Zelosians, since it occurs at night during the darkness they fear most.
