StarWars.com Interviews Simon Kinberg About Star Wars Rebels, Part 1

StarWars.com has posted the first part of an interview with Star Wars Rebels executive producer Simon Kinberg about his work on the series. In this part, Kinberg discusses getting the email from Lucasfilm's Kiri Hart to do Rebels, making the Ghost's crew into a family, and incorporating "guest stars from the original movies" into the series.

Kinberg, who is also a consultant on Episode VII and the writer of a standalone film, described what it was like to "write dialog to put into the mouth of a character that was as real to me when I was a kid as my parents were, and were part of my dreams since before I can remember speaking."
