Rumor: Episode VII May Head To Morocco, Begin Filming May 14
Badass Digest, which has a fairly good track record when it comes to Star Wars rumors, is up with a new one: "sources" tell BD's Devin Faraci that the seventh film "will begin shooting almost exactly six weeks from today, on May 14th," and that "the first two weeks will be on location in Morocco."
Faraci suggests that this means that the film will be set partially on Tatooine. Given the political turmoil in Tunisia, Morocco would make sense as an alternative site if the production does need a stand-in for the desert planet.
Neither Disney nor Lucasfilm has commented on this report.
