Less Than A Month Left In Episode VII Production
Kathleen Kennedy told the press at the opening of Industrial Light & Magic's London offices that the conclusion of principal photography on Star Wars: Episode VII was "three weeks off."
Kennedy also discussed her initial meetings with British government officials to plan out Episode VII's London shot. Filming Star Wars in the UK "goes back to 1976," she said, "and to know that we are now coming back and we will be making the movies once again based out of Pinewood, and now we're looking to put together this studio, it's rather remarkable that this has all come together in less than two years."
Separately, IGN talked to ILM president Lynwen Brennan, who confirmed that Episode VIII will also be filmed in London as part of Lucasfilm's long-term contract with Pinewood Studios.
