Episode VII Casting Rumor: Gender Swap?

According to a report from Badass Digest, Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) may be playing an Episode VII role originally scripted for a male.

According to my sources Gwendoline Christie is playing John Boyega's commanding officer in Star Wars Episode VII, and she's mad that he deserted. She's looking for him. She's an antagonist.

The article goes on to speculate this was the "gender swapped" role earlier sources had reported, a role for which Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek Into Darkness) may have been approached.

This rumor coincides with earlier rumors about a possible plot summary and potential information about John Boyega's character (both links contain potential spoilers!).
