The Star Wars: Edge of the Empire Roleplaying Game Is Now Available!

Posted by Erik on July 6, 2013 at 12:18 PM CST

Everything you need to start your adventure is here!

You can now get the Core Rulebook, which contains everything you need to create characters and get your campaign started! At over 440 pages, it's a comprehensive guide for both game masters and players to learn the system, and it includes guides to gear, starships, planets, and much more. It even includes an adventure to get you started!

Then pick up the Roleplay Dice, specially designed to provide a more narrative experience for the game master and players alike. Though the Core Rulebook does provide a conversion chart for using traditional dice, I've found that using the Edge of the Empire dice makes the game simpler and easier.

If you're a game master, or "GM," be sure to also pick up the Game Master's Kit. As any veteran GM knows, a GM screen is an almost essential resource that gives quick reference charts for the information you need most often. Better yet, it also comes with an adventure you can include in your campaign!

Finally, if you'd like an "all in one" package to run a quick adventure and give the game a try, the Beginner Game is a great way to get started. This will give you a basic explanation of the rules and provide a step-by-step guide to an adventure into which you can immediately drop a team of players using the included pre-created characters. Even if you plan to skip straight to the Core Rulebook instead, I'd recommend picking this up as well. The adventure is a lot of fun, and it includes a set of dice that would otherwise cost $15 by themselves, so it's a great deal!
