The 6th Annual Corsham Sci-Fi Family Funday Returns April 26th

Corsham Sci-fi Family Funday 26 April 2014

Charity Sci-Fi are proud to present their 6th annual event in the Wiltshire town of Corsham. Special guests this year include Dave Prowse the original actor behind the mask of cinemas most iconic villain Darth Vader from the original Star Wars trilogy and joining him from the Empire Strikes Back is John Morton from the USA making his second ever UK appearance he played Dack Ralter, Luke Skywalkers snowspeeder gunner in the battle of Hoth and also donned the legendary armour and helmet for two days as bespin Boba Fett in a scene with Vader and Lando.

Other guests include Virgina Hey - Farscape, Mad Max 2 - The stars of the modern Doctor Who - Sean Knopp- Paul (Bells of St. John) , John Davey - cyberman, ood and various monsters in over 25 modern episodes, Sarah Louise Madison - weeping angel and Freya Faraday - big finish audio adventures.

The event will take place in the lower school halls of the Corsham comprehensive school SN13 9dl from 10:30 - 5pm on Saturday the 26th of April. Thanks to the support of local town council we have free parking in all the towns car parks for the day and there's plenty of local independent shops and eateries in the town where attendees can grab a bite to eat.

Some of the staff from Skynet the Mod Satellite Communication System will be bringing a display and talking about the technology.

Other activities include Wiltshire Scrap Store. Cat House Observatory, Dave Hickory Balloon Modeller, Angel Art Face painting, Traders and Costumers.

The event will be dividing the profits between Wiltshire Young Carers, Whizzy Bug Bath, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The event would not have been possible without help from Corsham Town Council, Automattic Comics and Toys, Manor Garage Box, Corsham Print, Memory lane Cars and the Premier Inn Chippenham.
