There may not have been any news about The Force Unleashed for a long time, but it's always good to hear from actor Sam Witwer, who voiced Starkiller and Palpatine in the two video games. He recently spoke to video game website IGN about his work on the series, from the secret Sith apprentice he brought to life to the broader story of which he was a part.
The interview is a great look at the context for the game in the overarching struggle between good and and evil. Witwer also discusses other great villains, especially Darth Vader, whose complexity in the six-film saga he praises. He also talks about the prequel trilogy and describes how he saw it differing from the original films. "George wanted [to] pull out and take a macro rather than a micro view of events and make it more of a historical thing about how a democracy becomes a dictatorship," Witwer said.
