Rumor: Star Wars Rebels May Be Set Eleven Years Before Episode IV
The latest podcast from Bleeding Cool includes discussion of the timeline placement for Star Wars Rebels, according to the blog MakingStarWars.net. Jason Ward of MSW writes:
[Podcast hosts] Brendon and Jason broke some Star Wars Rebels news. The duo claim Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia are eight years old during the series and they’re not in it. That means Star Wars Rebels takes place eight years after Revenge of the Sith or twelve years before A New Hope. For what it's worth, Lucasfilm's Pablo Hidalgo, who is hosting a New York Comic Con panel about Rebels, wrote this on Twitter in response to the rumor:
@JustinL81 Let's put a pin in this, and bring it up again after the NYCC panel. ;)
