Report: Episode VII Table Read Today, Harrison Ford Has 'Gigantic' Role
If Mike Fleming Jr. from Deadline is to be believed, the stars of Star Wars Episode VII, to whom we still haven't been introduced, are meeting in London today to read the script as a group for the first time.
Fleming's report claims that this cast will include Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis) and the previously mentioned Adam Driver and John Boyega. Young actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers may also be in the running for a part.
However, the most interesting part of the Deadline story is this line: "The big surprise, I'm told, is that Ford has a gigantic role in the first of the next three films." A "gigantic" role, you say? In only the first of the sequels? Could this possibly be the blaze-of-glory Han Solo death scene that Harrison Ford so famously pushed for in Return of the Jedi?
Disney isn't commenting on Fleming's Deadline report, so we're firmly in rumor territory with all of this. That being said, the Big Three are in London and May 4th is this Sunday, so maybe we'll get a cast list sooner than we think.
