Prequel Trilogy Effects Lead John Knoll Promoted To ILM Chief Creative Officer

Lucasfilm today announced that four-time Academy Award nominee John Knoll has been named Chief Creative Officer of Industrial Light & Magic. Knoll worked as a visual effects supervisor on the Star Wars prequels, the Pirates of the Caribbean films, and this year's Pacific Rim. He started at ILM in 1986.
