Jaime King Talks About Her Role In The Clone Wars' Yoda Arc

Posted by Eric on March 13, 2014 at 08:17 PM CST

If you haven't seen the Yoda arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars' "Lost Missions" bonus content, don't worry. We're not going to spoil it for you. But if you have seen the episodes, you should check out ComingSoon.net's interview with actress Jaime King, who has previously played characters like Aurra Sing and Cassie Cryar on The Clone Wars, and who returned to the series for the final story arc to voice five fascinating new characters.

In the interview, King discusses the secrecy surrounding her work on the series (which even her husband, Fanboys director Kyle Newman, has to obey), her favorite Star Wars characters to voice, and the enduring legacy of Star Wars franchise, which she says "will always transcend time." Here's an excerpt where she discusses her interactions with fans:

One of the things I love about social media is that you can go on Instagram or Twitter, you'll see people who make the most glorious art projects for their school or they chose your photograph or something you did and they studied you and took months and months and months and months to make something beautiful with their hands. It's such an honor to know that your work impacts people that way. It's really cool that, via social media, I can see those things even if I can't see those people in person. But when people say, "The fans are what keep me going!" it's really true. Ultimately, my job as an artist is to move people and make them feel like they're not alone in the world. That's what film and television does. It's what music does.
Check out the full interview for more of King's thoughts on The Clone Wars and her other projects, including the CW TV series Hart of Dixie and the upcoming film Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
