On May 21, 1980, Star Wars became a true saga with the release of The Empire Strikes Back. In honor of the film's fortieth anniversary, forty acclaimed authors have re-created an iconic scene from The Empire Strikes Back through the eyes of a supporting character--from heroes and villains, to droids and creatures--in From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back.
To celebrate the publication of this anthology, University Bookstore is hosting three virtual events next week on November 10th, 11th, and 12th. At each event, a group of authors will discuss their stories in the book with Del Rey Editor Tom Hoeler.
This event series is ticketed. Purchasing one copy of the book from University Bookstore is your ticket and allows you to participate in all three events.
Here is a link to the event listing with more details. Additionally, here is list of authors appearing each night:
November 10: Mark Oshiro, Emily Skrutskie, C.B. Lee, Delilah S. Dawson, Amy Ratcliffe, and Michael Moreci
