Episode VII Rumor: Full-Size Millennium Falcon Built, Waiting To Move To Pinewood

Yahoo Movies UK is reporting some very interesting news about the most famous spaceship in the galaxy:

According to a source close to production, the iconic Millennium Falcon has already been built for 'Star Wars: Episode VII'… and it could be bigger than ever.

"A full-scale 1:1 Millennium Falcon has been built as well as the interiors of the ship for filming," they explained. "The Falcon is done - inside and out. The sets were built off-site, ready to move when Lucasfilm/Bad Robot were ready to move into Pinewood [Studios in Buckinghamshire, UK]."
Ryan Leston over at Yahoo wonders why the filmmakers would build a life-size set when they could just recreate the ship digitally, but then he suggests that the Falcon prop might be used at a Disney theme park at some point in the future. "We already know that Disney has big 'Star Wars' plans for their numerous theme parks," he writes. "But could the Millennium Falcon be the centre piece?" That would certainly gel with one persistent rumor we're hearing for Disneyland.

We'll keep you updated as we hear more.
