What's Up With The Clone Wars? Posted By Curto on August 9, 2008
For your viewing pleasure, we've got some new photos of the latest and upcoming toys from Hasbro's The Clone Wars line!
A new era in Star Wars is about to begin, and Hasbro is right on top of it with an all-new look for the action figure line-up, where the toys look like they've jumped off the big screen (and coming this fall to the small screen) and into the toy aisles! And it's a VAST lineup, complete with action figures, battle packs, and vehicles from the era between Episodes II and III. While some of the toys have made their official debut on 7/26, let's get the full rundown on what collectors can look forward to...
Action Figures The staple of any Star Wars line, these controversial figures are based on the characters' appearances in the animated series. While they are targeted to a dual audience: for the kids, there's the action features with rocket-firing weapons and jetpacks, but the aesthetics and articulation for collectors are here as well. As fans get more and more exposed to the new look from the movie and TV series, expect this line to grow over time.
The action figures for this line include:
1 Anakin Skywalker
2 Obi-Wan Kenobi
3 Yoda
4 Captain Rex
5 Clone Trooper
6 General Grievous
7 Battle Droid
8 R2-D2
9 Ahsoka Tano
10 Clone Commander Cody
11 Clone Pilot Oddball
12 Super Battle Droid
Exclusive Figures As with any major launch, there's a number of exclusives available as well, such as these clone commanders from the film.
The exclusive action figues include:
Captain Rex (Mailaway Figure)
Clone Trooper (Senate Security)
Battle Packs There are several army-building Battle Packs in the works, some with smaller vehicles, including:
Vehicles Since The Clone Wars uses the same digital models as the live-action movies, the vehicles are the same as we've seen in past years. In fact, many of the older models have been updated with a fresh coat of paint as seen in the show, and popular ships from this era have also been brought back for extra play value and for those who may have missed them last time.
The vehicles that fall under the TCW banner include:
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
