Several blogs and gaming sites have picked up today's announcement of an online game based on The Clone Wars. See below as we update this post with more stories, pictures, and videos of Clone Wars Adventures.

Wired GameLife: "I got an early look at the game during a pre-E3 event last month and found the mini-games to be solid. A typing drill asked players to hunt and peck the names of Clone Wars characters and settings to take down incoming spaceships. A Star Wars-flavored tower defense game pitted the player against an oncoming army of battle droids." (Wired also describes a mini-game where players threw Gungans at "explosives and piles of dung" using the Force.)

GamePro: "Like many online virtual worlds, there's a substantial social component to Clone Wars Adventures, and a big part of the experience involves avatar and social space customization, as well as online chat and competition."
