Hollywood Heroes officially announced their upcoming Prop and Memorabilia auction today. The auction, starting March 2nd 2006, will consist of original movie props from the first Star Wars trilogy. The New Jersey based corporation specializes in film props and movie memorabilia.
The auction showcases items from the personal collection of crew members who worked on the film. In addition, several items from the personal collection of Norman Jacobs, publisher of the famed "Starlog" and "Fangoria" magazines. Mr Jacobs is considered one of the foremost collectors of Sci-If memorabilia and artwork. The New Jersey magazine publisher has submitted an original blaster rifle, used in the first Star Wars film, to the auction, along with two very rare original models from Industrial, Light and Magic, the company which produced the original models and props for the trilogy. Hollywood Heroes President and Northern NJ native Jordan Hembrough commented, "We are very pleased to have Mr. Jacobs on board for this auction. His name and reputation in the Sci-Fi arena are well known and respected. We are looking forward to this auction, being the first of many with Mr. Jacobs and his incredible personal collection."
In addition, items from the collection of former model and mold maker Wesley Seeds will be in the auction. Mr Seeds worked on the Empire Strikes Back, as well as Return of the Jedi. The seeds collection consists of original pieces from the X-wing model used in the first Star Wars film, to piece of the At-At walker seen in "The Empire Strikes Back."
Hembrough has his own predictions on certain pieces in the auction. "I think collectors will love the Boba Fett Rifle we have. It's actually one of the very first pulls from the mold and it's full size. This is my personal favorite."
Other highlights include original press kits signed by the cast, blueprints to R2-D2 and the Millennium Falcon, which were used in the model shop and an original Star Wars premiere ticket signed by the entire cast and director George Lucas.
The auction starts March 2nd on Ebay. Check seller ID hollywoodheroes or view the online catalog here.

I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
