The Wings Over the Rockies Air Museum in Denver will be holding their monthly cockpit demo day this Saturday from 10am to 2pm and will include the LFL X-Wing as one of the open cockpit exhibits. The Lucasfilm 3/4 scale X-Wing prop, fully restored by Rocky Mountain Fan Force & 501st Mountain Garrison members, has been featured at Star Wars Celebration I & III, Disney Star Wars Weekends, San Diego Comic Con, and even New York's Times Square!
This is one of the EXTREMELY rare times that Star Wars fans can actually get up close and personal with this LFL 3/4 scale prop, signed by George Lucas and many other Star Wars personalities. A photographer will be on hand to take photos that will be posted online for fans to retrieve.
The museum will also be doing it all over again for Glory Days (on September 9 & 10), so check out their web site for further details and driving directions: http://www.wingsmuseum.org/
Thanks to Kevin Christley for the heads up!
UPDATE: Bill Blackburn writes:
"I don't know if Kevin got back to you, but your post on the main page is.. a little off. The open cockpit day was last month. But The X-Wing will be open for the Glory Days on 9 and 10 September. I'd really hate to have people go out to Lowry this weekend and end up disappointed."
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
