The Art of Ralph McQuarrie

Dreams and Visions Press is pleased to announce the forthcoming release of The Art of Ralph McQuarrie, an oversize, 400-page career-spanning retrospective of the most influential conceptual artist of the past 30 years.

This long awaited volume finally offers readers a glimpse at Ralph McQuarrie's previously unseen artwork, including his early technical illustrations, science-fiction book cover and interior art, movie posters, commercial work, film and television work, personal pieces, and the largest single-volume collection of his original artwork for the Star Wars Trilogy (making up one-third of the books content).

The Art of Ralph McQuarrie is fully annotated, including comments and anecdotes from Ralph himself, and also features a brand new foreword by George Lucas, an introduction by art director and production designer Doug Chiang, and appreciations from visual effects supervisor Ken Ralston and actor Anthony Daniels.

No Ralph McQuarrie fan, Star Wars fan, or art aficionado will want to pass up this truly remarkable volume. Strictly limited to a single print run of 2000 copies (including 250 signed and numbered and 52 deluxe leatherbound editions).

Available exclusively through dreams and visions press, The Art of Ralph McQuarrie is scheduled to debut at Star Wars Celebration IV, May 24-28, 2007 in Los Angeles, CA, with pre-orders shipping upon the book's arrival in April of 2007.
