Steve Sansweet's Pick Of The Week Posted By Dustin on March 7, 2010
Here's a cool feature Steve Sansweet is doing via his Facebook fan page called "Pick of the Week", where Steve showcases a collectible with a little backstory. This week features the never released vintage animated Droids and Ewoks line.
?With the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars just getting better and better as it builds towards a stunning Season 2 climax, older fans with good memories might recall two earlier series, Droids and Ewoks; they first ran on ABC in 1985, while Ewoks alone returned for a second season. Kenner produced 18 Droids and Ewoks action figures in 1985, but a second batch of 14 figures, photographed and shown in Kenner?s 1986 retailers catalog, was never manufactured. But enough early pre-production samples were made that some have found their way to collectors? hands. About 15 years ago I was contacted by a seller who said he had gotten an entire set of the figures from a friend at Kenner, and we eventually struck a deal. Incredibly, all of the loose accessories were present?with one exception: the Royal Scepter of Mon Julpa, the purple-faced dude on the far right of the top row. A friend and fellow Star Wars collector came to the rescue; he just happened to have spare scepter, sent it to me at no charge, and completed the collection. That only goes to prove that Star Wars collectors are some of the nicest and most generous folks in the world!? - Steve Sansweet

Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
