Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination Posted By Dustin on October 22, 2005
Boston, MA: Developed by the Museum of Science and Lucasfilm, Ltd., the exhibit makes its world premiere at the Museum of Science on October 27, 2005. Supported by the National Science Foundation, the exhibit will use all six Star Wars films as a gateway to examining technologies of today and tomorrow. Topic areas include:
Getting Around: Getting from place to place is essential for everyone. What would the world be like if everyone had vehicles that combined the ease of a car with the three-dimensional flight capabilities of a helicopter?
Robots and People: R2D2 can navigate, send and understand the world around him. How long will it be until we create machines as intelligent as we are?
Imagine the Future: Engineers and designers in the real world and in the Star Wars universe use imagination and science to design something new. Presented by Bose Corporation, Sponsored locally by Mercury Computer Systems. Supported by the National Science Foundation. Media Partner WCVB-TV.
