Amazon.com has a page up for a Star Wars Mad Libs book, to be published on 4th September, at $3.99 US.
Maybe it's because I'm not American, but I didn't know quite what a Mad Lib was. It turns out that it's that game where a list of inappropriate words are used to fill in the blanks in a story.
Now it looks like we're getting a Star Wars version. Interestingly, the publishers of Mad Libs books are Price Stern Sloan, and they are closely connected with Grosset & Dunlap, who, as we reported recently, are publishing the children's tie-ins for the up-coming Clone Wars CGI movie and TV series. The two imprints are both divisions of Penguin Books, both specialise in children's books, and they share the same president, Debra Dorfman.
This may be a sign that the Mad Libs are related to The Clone Wars in some way, or it may indicate that Penguin are going to be taking a wider role in Star Wars publishing from now on. We'll let you know more as soon as we hear it.
Thanks, once again, to the ever-sharp Eddie van der Heijden from Once Upon A Galaxy, who spotted this and contacted us!
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
