Star Wars Grand Florida Alliance Event

What:

The Star Wars Grand Florida Alliance will be invading Acme Superstore in Longwood, FL on Saturday, November 12th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm for the final event of 2011.

Where:

The physical address for the shop is 905 E. State Road 434, Longwood, FL 32750. If you have questions about directions, please call the store at (407) 331-0433.

Special Guests:

Official Topps Star Wars artist Tim Proctor will be on hand. He has been a sketch artist for Topps including The Clone Wars season 1 and 2 sets, The Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary set, Star Wars Galaxy 5 and for Galaxy 6, his art was used on a base card as well as sketch cards. In 2010, he was chosen by Lucasfilm to create a limited print for Star Wars Celebration V. Currently, he is working on Galaxy 7 for Topps and a helmet submission for the As You Wish Helmet Project. This is Tim�s second SWGFA event. He�ll be drawing sketches, accepting commissions, and will have sketch cards for sale.

Relentlessly Cheerful Artist James Hance will be making a return to the SWGFA and will have copies of his �Wookiee The Chew� book and prints of his work for sale including mash-ups of Star Wars, Muppets, Firefly, Dr. Who, The Beatles and more.

Raffle for Edutopia:

There will be a raffle with some very cool prizes including toys, posters, autographed items, books and much more. Ticket prices will be - 1 for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00. 100% of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to Edutopia: The George Lucas Educational Foundation.

501st Legion & Discounts:

Expect costumed members of the 501st Legion and lots of surprises. Plus, the good folks at Acme will be extending a 25% discount off of all Star Wars merchandise (and they've got a lot!).
