Star Wars Costume Day Saturday, August 18 all day Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
Star Wars fans are invited to show their inner wookie this Saturday during Star Wars Costume Day at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.
See the Museum's blockbuster exhibit "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination" and, if you wear a Star Wars costume, you'll receive a free ticket to the Noble Planetarium and its presentation of "A Galaxy Not So Far, Far Away." (Limit one planetarium ticket person.) Whether or not you wear a costume, you'll see many other Star Wars characters in the building during the day, including R2-D2.
You can also stick around for the evening's free Star Party and everyone - costume or no costumer - can enter a drawing for a telescope on a Dobsonian mount. The telescope winner will be selected at random during the Star Party, a monthly opportunity to view the night sky through the telescopes of the Noble Planetarium and the Fort Worth Astronomical Society. Star Parties begin at dusk and last through 11 p.m., weather permitting.
"Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination" is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (last entry at 7:30 p.m.) Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children/seniors. Museum members are $4 each.
Many thanks to Rob from FanBoyRadio and Kari from Fort Worth Museum of Science and History for the information.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
