Star Wars Costume Contest At Arizona State Fair

PHOENIX (Oct. 25, 2005)—Nothing can surpass the excitement of the Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith DVD release on Nov. 1, but Arizona’s Star Wars fans have something else to cheer about. The Arizona Lottery and The Edge 103.9 are inviting Star Wars fans to strut around as their favorite saga character at the ‘Arizona Lottery Backyard’ at the Arizona State Fair on Friday, Oct. 28 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Participants could win a set of 16 Arizona Lottery Star Wars Scratchers tickets and authentic Star Wars merchandise. All participants will get cool Edge 103.9 merchandise and free spins on the Arizona Lottery prize wheel. The winner will be entered to win a Home Theater System valued at $5,000.

Priced at $3 a ticket, the Star Wars Arizona Lottery Scratchers ticket series has a top cash prize of $10,000 and is in stores now. The tickets feature 16 different images capturing the most memorable characters and scenes from the Star Wars saga. The second-chance prizes tied to the ticket series are out of this world and include: a Home Theater System including a 42-inch Plasma TV and Theater Surround Sound System; a Mobile Entertainment Package including a Classic Star Wars Trilogy DVD set, Portable DVD player and Display and a Star Wars Movie Poster; and a Merchandise Prize Pack including a Movie Poster, Darth Vader Collector Pin Set and Darth Vader Snow Globe. Players should visit the “Gold Mine” on the Arizona Lottery Web site at www.arizonalottery.com for full details about second-chance drawings.
