TFN reader Fredrik from Sweden sent over the following Pernilla August news...
"I want to share some good news with you and Star Wars fans around the world. Pernilla August, the swedish actress who portrayed Anakin's mother Shmi Skywalker in Ep I and II, won the "guldbagge" (the swedish equivalent of the Academy award) for Best director tonight. She won it for her directorial debut "Svinal?ngorna" (international title: "Beyond") starring Noomi Rapace (famous as Lisbeth Salander in the swedish original version of "The girl with the dragon tattoo"). Mrs August was also nominated for best script and for Best actress. "Beyond" was nominated for eight awards but won only a total of three "guldbaggar".
Here's a link to swedish news site Aftonbladet (in swedish) with a picture of Mrs August accepting her award."
Thanks to Fredrik for sending over the news and congrats to Pernilla August for her award.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
