SW Museum Exhibit Coming To Seattle

Seattle residents who enjoy the science and technology behind the Star Wars films will want to check out an exhibit that opens tomorrow at the Pacific Science Center. The popular traveling museum Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination includes "interactive stations where kids can race their own magnetic-levitation speeders, build their own robots, drive a small hovercraft and more," according to seattlepi.com. Exhibit visitors will also find costumes, props, and models from the six films.

Here's a bit more about the exhibit:

��Star Wars� provides such an easy access point, jumping-off point to teach (kids) something about technology,� said Kyra Bowling, who has just about the coolest job on the planet as exhibits manager for Lucasfilm.

�I love the way we�ve developed the show, because we have all these models and costumes for the film-minded folks � and all these learning machines,� Bowling said. �So it�s a great mixture of the two."

The traveling exhibit was developed by Lucasfilm and the Museum of Science in Boston, and has been running since 2005, Bowling said. Seattle is the 14th stop.
