"Courleciel, the longtime publisher of the Star Wars Magazine in France, has closed its business.

?With the rise of the internet and the impact of the worldwide economic crisis - both of which are affecting print publications everywhere - we have reluctantly decided to cease publication of the magazine,? said Patrice Girod, editor and publisher. ?We want to thank our readers for their enthusiasm and past support,? Girod added. ?We know that while publication of our magazine has ended, this will not end the passion that so many French fans have for the Star Wars saga.?

Steve Sansweet, head of Fan Relations at Lucasfilm, said the company wanted to thank Girod for his hard work over the years in publishing a high-quality magazine."
