SW Ideas That Won't (But Should) Be Licensed Posted By Eric on December 23, 2010
MTV Geek blogger Laurel Woods has posted a new article in her "Woodsy's World of Star Wars" series that addresses the dubious legitimacy of The Holiday Special and speculates about other Star Wars licensing decisions. After noting that George wasn't involved in the TV special and would like to destroy every copy of it, Woods explains the premise of her post:
[T]he team here at MTV Geek has helped me come up with 8 ideas that could have happened had George been less involved in all of Star Wars!
What follows is a list of several hilarious Star Wars products (and one disturbing event) that will have you laughing (or saying "Please, no!") in no time. The list includes a Tauntaun Dissection Kit ("Give this to your kid to figure out if he has any Jeffrey Dahmer tendencies early on") and a Lightsaber Back Massager ("[I]t will 'lighten up' any tight muscles you have from a hard day of defending the Rebellion"). A few of the items are so natural that you'll wonder why you (and Lucasfilm) hadn't thought of them already.
Say what you want about the wackiness of The Holiday Special. This is one Star Wars licensing list so bizarre that you'll either forward it to Howard Roffman or do your best to keep him from ever seeing it!
