Starting Friday, November 1st, DFW FanForce and other local fan groups join Cinemark and Lucasfilm for an event-filled weekend to celebrate the IMAX release of ATTACK OF THE CLONES, the latest chapter in George Lucas' STAR WARS saga.
The Cinemark IMAX located at 11819 Webb Chapel and 635 will host games, giveaways, contests and more to commemorate the opening release of the summer sequel hit movie in the spectacular 70 mm IMAX format. Local costume groups the Rebel Legion and the 501st Star Garrison will also be available for special photo opportunities this weekend.
The first STAR WARS movie to be released in this format, ATTACK OF THE CLONES is also the first digitally captured feature film to be remastered using the new IMAX DMR process. The result of this transfer from digital to IMAX will result in action sequences like only George Lucas can imagine being brought to life on a theater screen 5 stories tall and with a surround sound system that has over 40 speakers boasting more than 10,000 watts of power.
Fans and movie aficionados alike will be making the journey to Dallas from all over Texas and the surrounding states for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Fan-related events are open to family members of all ages. For more information, please visit cinemark.com, dfwfanforce.net, and the official STAR WARS IMAX web page at starwars.com/episode-ii/imax.

Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
