After part one yesterday, Timelord chimes in with the end of day one. This is the final moments that concluded their work on their first day on the set of Episode II:

I was there on the first day from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. It was fantastic and a dream come true. After the last shot was completed Rick McCallum came over to all the extras and thanked us all individually and shook people's hands/flippers/claws. A very nice gesture I thought. I must also say to you how wonderful those creature minders were.

Each of the people had two or three creatures assigned to them for the day. It was their responsibility to provide them with cool air via their fans into our masks and cool drinks. They also helped people in and out of our masks and generally catered to whims.

Also ever prevalent inside and outside the soundstages were the crew for "On Location". They tended to gravitate towards any and every remotely good-looking girl there and proceed to interview them, they would then dash off to the next beauty. So that's my long winded description of my first day, I couldn't actually work out what planet the scenes were on, my best guess would be Coruscant.
