Reel.com Reviews Heart Of An Empire Posted By Dustin on January 20, 2007
Fan of TheForce.net Matt Myers sent in the following in regards to the highly anticipated "Heart of an Empire" -- a documentary film chronicling the life and times of the 501st.
"As you may already know, Director/Producer Jay Thompson has been working on this documentary film chronicling the beginning (and growth) of the 501st Legion for nearly 5 years. For nearly 3 years, Jay traveled all over the United States and Europe filming 501st members doing what 501st members do best. As he met more and more 501st members, the story he was telling grew, as did the 501st, itself.
They were contacted by a reviewer whose reviews regularly appear on rottentomatoes.com, Reel.com and several film magazines. Reel.com had commissioned him to write a review of Heart of an Empire. Yesterday, Reel.com posted a review of the documentary on their website.
This is a good read folks. It gives you a sense of what the final product is going to be. We wish them the best of luck in getting this documentary picked up for distribution so we'll all be able to go see it in theatres with friends and family!
