Opening My Collection For Charity Posted By Philip on October 30, 2008
Opening My Collection For Charity
I receive quite a few requests to come visit my shop and Star Wars collection from fans that become aware of it primarily from stories in the press. This Saturday, we're going to open it to the public for the first time as part of a fundraiser for Southlake Safety Town for kids.
So, if you or a Star Wars fan you know happen to be in the north Texas area this Saturday, we'd love to get more people to come.
Adult tickets are $50 and kids are $15, and the organization is a non-profit 501.3c entity.
There will be lots to do here, including:
Southlake Safety House where kids learn about fire safety. Southlake Police Cars on display. 501st Costume Contingent and photo ops. Darth Mooder, a steer turned into Darth Vader photo ops. Face painting. LEGO activity center. Costume Contest (be sure and bring your kids in costume) Jedi Training for the kids. Hotdogs and popcorn.
You can read more about it online as there was a nice article in the Forth Worth Star Telegram today: Star Wars Charity Event
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
