"A SWINDON Star Wars fanatic is to feature in a documentary about people whose lives have been taken over by The Force.
True Fan, which is due to be aired later this year, centres on the world's top 10 Star Wars fans, including Swindon's Luke Skywalker, who runs Skywalkers fancy dress shop in Faringdon Road.
Luke recently organised a Star Wars extravaganza at the Marriott Hotel in Swindon and spent hundreds of pounds on a huge tattoo of Darth Vader and Yoda alongside Darth Maul and a Stormtrooper.
He said he is honoured to be featuring in the documentary about a film that has changed his life. continued...
The 39-year-old changed his surname from Kaye to Skywalker when he was 18 after falling in love with the George Lucas-inspired movies, and is preparing himself for a second round of filming for the programme at his Swindon store.
"The documentary is being produced by a filmmaker who has been involved in producing and directing the last three Star Wars films," said Luke.
"He is one of George Lucas' friends, but I can't mention his name as the documentary hasn't been finished yet and it's all a bit top secret at the moment."
