No Prequel Infinities From Dark Horse

Contrary to news coming out of Star Wars Insider #114, Dark Horse's Randy Stradley has set the record straight in regards to a possible Prequel Trilogy Infinities series:

"I think there are some wires crossed somewhere. We have no plans for Infinites versions of the Prequel films. I don't know what they could possibly be talking about. I contact[ed] writer Dan Wall[a]ce about the mention, but he has no idea what it is, either.

Sorry that everybody got all excited for nothing."

Oh, well. Could have been fun.

UPDATE: Jonathan from Titan Magazines offers up a bit more clarification...

"Just wanted to set the record straight on this from Insider's point of view. We weren't making any kind of news announcement regarding any new output from Dark Horse. Perhaps the confusion arises from the fact that we mention the second part of our three part retrospective on Dark Horse Comics' Star Wars line (looking at the period that saw the prequel comics and the Infinities range released) on our Next Issue page. In short, there isn't news story coming out of Star Wars Insider 114 suggesting a prequels Infinities series."
