New York Line Now In Full Swing Posted By Spell on December 13, 2004
The fans over at NYLine, an all-volunteer partnership formed to celebrate the release of the Star Wars prequels, have procured their place in front of New York City's historic Ziegfeld Theatere for the midnight screening of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
The Stand-a-Thon will be a New York-flavored celebration for the three weeks leading up the films opening. Past line ups for Episode I and Episode II have raised more than $33,000 in cash and product donations for the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation, an organization whose mission is to brighten the lives of critically, chronically and terminally ill children throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Sponsors will pledge donations to the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation for every hour NYLine's 350 members spend on the sidewalk near the Ziegfeld Theater.
The fun begins on April 30th and lasts until the midnight opening of Episode III on May 19th, 2005.
Truly an event any Jedi would be proud of. May the Force be with them!
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
