The 2004 Lucas Merlot displays elegant aromas of wild black currant, blueberries, cinnamon spice, and green olive tapenade followed by flavors of black cherry, dark plum, and black tea. Delicate notes of mocha, sweet dark cherry, and black currents framed by supple, ripe tannins leading to an extended and appealing finish. Very approachable now and will develop over the next 5 years.
