Retcons are retroactive continuity, revisions in the storyline of the Star Wars saga: explanations to smooth over inconsistencies, or new interpretations of events that we all thought we understood.

And for the second year running, TheForce.Net's "Literature" message-boards are hosting a National Retcon Week, where we're inviting you, the fans, to suggest your own ideas for retcons.

This isn't in any way connected with LFL. These retcons won't find their way into canon. It's just good fun. But as last year's project proved, it is good fun. Particular thanks go to Master_Keralys for reminding me that we needed to get another one of these things organized for this year...
