Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi Novels

There's a new preview at the official Star Wars website... or perhaps we should call it a "First Luke", as the main focus is the up-coming novel Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor by Matt Stover, which is due out this October.

There's an extensive plot summary for the book, combined with another look at the cover art which was released recently. The new information is already causing a lot of excitement in the discussion thread about the book on TheForce.Net's "Jedi Council" message-boards.

But that's not all! The StarWars.com article combines the Shadows of Mindor preview with a shorter introduction for another book on a similar theme, also due out in October.

Star Wars: The Life and Legend of Obi-Wan Kenobi is a novel for younger readers by Ryder Windham, telling the story of the last of the Jedi Knights in a single volume. We broke the news about this book in March, and it serves as an obvious companion-piece for the same author's earlier young-adult novel, The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader, which was released last year, and which Adrick has reviewed here.
