Little tidbit from the Star Tribune her in Minnesota. In the past 2 or 3 yrs there has been talk of having a new Twins/Vikings stadium built with tax payers money. Well, the bill was passed by St. Paul's state house and congress and goes on the tax department. This is the interesting part:
Developer Jerry Trooien wishes to develop a baseball museum. Now this will happen whether or not Minnesota builds the stadium. "Trooien hired the Joseph Campbell [where have we heard that name?] Foundation of An Anselmo. Calif., to help develop the center, which would cost an estimated $100 million to $150 million "The late Joseph Campbell was a scholar of world cultures who inspired filmaker George Lucas and who worked with public television's Bill Moyer on "The Power of the Myth" series. Lucas is on the foundation's board."
Well, this is news to me (that George is on the board). It's interesting how his empire touches so many areas in our society. Now baseball! : )
Indeed. Thanks for the alert.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
