"The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) today announced that five-time Academy Award-winning composer John Williams, one of our nation’s most distinguished and contributive musical voices, will conduct the PSO in a special concert, “John Williams and the Music of the Movies,” on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. at the Heinz Hall Box Office, online at pittsburghsymphony.org or by phone at 412.392.4900. Pre-sale to 2010-2011 PSO subscribers begins exclusively online on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 9 a.m. Tickets start at $40.
Williams is contributing his time for this important fundraising concert for the PSO musicians’ pension fund. He last conducted the PSO in 2003."
