James Rollins Signing In Gurnee, Illinois Posted By Mike on July 19, 2008
From our friend John Tenuto:
"The Warren Newport Public Library in Gurnee, Illinois is having a meet the author event with James Rollins (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull novelization) this July 16th at 1PM. Here is the flyer with all the details.
This is a great library that last year had Matthew Stover at a free event. Also, next year I will be giving two talks at the library myself, on May 6, 2009 about the history of Star Trek collectibles, and an autumn 2009 event (to be scheduled) about the history of Star Wars collectibles.
We thought fellow fans in the area would like to know about the James Rollins event!"

Thanks John!
UPDATE: Our friends the Tenutos, sent over the folloiwng follow up from the James Rollins signing event:
"Today, at the Warren Newport Public Library in Gurnee, Illinois, we got to meet and hear a talk from James Rollins, author of the novel for Indiana Jones 4.
His talk was amazingly good, funny and really great for those interested in how books are authored.
I asked him about the Indiana Jones novel and he spoke about how it was so exciting to be offered to be the author. He mentioned some great details, such as the book was originally going to reveal the details of the fate of Henry Jones, Sr., yet Steven Spielberg prefered to leave that a mystery. He also mentioned that there were only a few lines that he was asked to change or edit from the book because they resolved issues that might be threads in future Indiana Jones stories (maybe movies?).
He was so incredibly nice and really loves writing. We recommend to fellow fans going to one of his talks because it was fascinating hearing his stories. James Rollins gained more fans today with our family!
Here are some pictures of the event, and him with John."
Thanks Tenutos!
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
