"Were you disappointed when you got the script to Return of the Jedi and you found out that Boba Fett was going to be killed?"

"I was not disappointed that he died, rather that he went so quickly. I thought that he should have put up more of a fight. But that is showbiz, that is the film industry, and it is nice that he still has such an aura around him. If I could have written it, though, I would have had more of a battle between Han Solo and Boba Fett.

I got the impression that they must have fought together in the past and now they were enemies and this was their chance to finish it. I had no script for Return of the Jedi so I was quite shocked when, a few pages in, I found out he was going to be sent to the Pit of Sarlacc."
