"My name is Rodney Grundmeyer also know as SL-3184 of the Bast Alpha Garrison in Louisiana. After just celebrating my 41st birthday this week, I am now gearing up for our annual fundraiser which is coming up on November 2, 2008. The fundraiser is called the “Imperial Funland Event”, and is scheduled to run from 12:00pm till 7:00pm on the day of the event. This years event will help to raise money for three sick children in the Mandeville and New Orleans areas. Two of the children have a form of Leukemia and the third child has a rare birth defect known as “Clover-Leaf” skull. All proceeds from this event will be distributed three ways between the sick children. This event will consist of the members of my garrison as well as members from the Mississippi Outpost doing activities with the kids such as racing in go-carts, playing miniature golf and fighting for the Empire in the laser tag arena against kids of all ages. We will also be having several raffles and auctions for prizes such as an autographed Saint’s football, and X-Box 360 as well as many more cool prizes. The cover charge to get in is $8.00 for anyone over the age of 6, $4.00 for any child under the age of six and $1.00 off the cover charge for anyone wearing a Star Wars themed costume. If anyone is interested in donating items for this event, they can e-mail me at cpl184@bellsouth.net and I will e-mail them back my home address where the donations can be sent to.
