Check out the excerpt below and click here for the full read. "As I build the opening chapters of Holostar for the first draft, I ask myself what sort of rollercoaster this will be. How big an opening drop or loop should it have? This is not a no-brainer. I’ve seen writers start out with opening “bangs” so big that nothing they did after that was quite as engaging as that initial big whoop.
