Just as Racer Revenge: Racer 2 starts to hit its strides on store shelves, Bryan Wahrer of Alderaan Online and Matthew Kreiner have discovered the first big surprises in the new game. Just in case you don't want to know just yet, highlight the following to find out:

First of all, here's Matthew

Last night I completed the first circuit of Racer Revenge using Ody Mandrell. I came in first place overall. Doing this unlocked a new racer and the pod racer concept art gallery. Within the art gallery, there were racer designs for Watto, Darth Maul, and Darth Vader. Maul's pod looked like his Infiltrator and Vader's pod looked like his Interceptor.

Now here's Brian with more juicy info:

After looking throught the end-game credits, the cast of pod racers are listed along with the the persons voicing them. Scott Lawrence is given credit for Anakin Skywalker AND Darth Vader. Jess Harnell is given credit for Darth Maul. So at the very least, even if they aren't playable characters, they appear somewhere in the game and most likely have lines.
