Yesterday, Disney posted a YouTube video that featured TCW actress Ashley Eckstein talking to Star Wars fans at a Star Tours - The Adventures Continue mall preview event. Today, they've given Entertainment Weekly an exclusive video that shows Eckstein, a former Disney cast member, walking through the Star Tours spaceport and telling fans what to expect. The video includes snippets from the ride itself, showing the underwater city of Otoh Gunga and a podrace on Tatooine. EW's Christian Blauvelt has also written up a full overview of the ride (one includes a few spoilers -- you've been warned!).the article :With the new Star Tours, Disney’s upgraded the pre-ride shows with new destination commercials (“Work on your tan under Tatooine’s twin suns!") technology ads, and even weather reports (something tells me to expect snow on Hoth). There’s also a spokesbot named Aly (voiced by Allison Janney) who promotes space tourism. As Tom Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President of Walt Disney Imagineering puts it, “It’s taking the experience of going to an airport and melding it with Star Wars.” Down to even “spaceport” security.
