Episode II Nominated for 7 Saturn Awards

WNRWSKPA tells us that CINESCAPE and The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films announced today the nominees for the 2003 Saturn Awards ceremony.

Leading the pack in the feature film category with a whopping 10 nominations each are THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS and MINORITY REPORT, followed closely behind by STAR WARS: EPISODE II - ATTACK OF THE CLONES (seven nominations), HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS (five nominations) and SPIDER-MAN (five nominations).

AOTC specifically received nominations for:

BEST SCIENCE FICTION FILM
BEST ACTRESS - Natalie Portman
BEST PERFORMANCE BY A YOUNGER ACTOR - Hayden Christensen
BEST DIRECTION - George Lucas
BEST MUSIC - John Williams
BEST COSTUME - Trisha Biggar
BEST SPECIAL EFFECTS - ILM

In the DVD categories AOTC got a nomination for BEST DVD SPECIAL EDITION RELEASE...
