EP3: John Williams Talks Episode III Score Posted By Britany on December 23, 2004
In an interview Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, John Williams talks about his progress on the 'Revenge of the Sith' score:
The due date for the "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" score looms. This is how Williams, 72, has lived his professional life. A standard contract for his movie compositions gives him three months. A George Lucas or Spielberg epic might require 120 minutes of music. A little calculating and presto: Williams must compose 40 minutes of original score a month, or 10 minutes a week, or two minutes every day (assuming he rests on the weekend, which he often does not).
"I live with deadlines every day," he says. "By the time you read a newspaper in the morning, do your work here and check into the house later, the day is gone."
He is thinking of solutions for his current, and sixth, "Star Wars" score.
"I need to do a certain amount every day; if I don't, the next day I have twice as much, so I can't really go back and fuss and obsess," he says. "I put in my briefcase what I did today, and tomorrow I'll fill up those pages there."

Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
